Tracking former and future Gwinnett Stripers in Atlanta Braves camp this spring

Coming off a stretch where they won six of eight games from March 6-13, the Atlanta Braves struggled this week, losing six of their last seven. The Braves fell to the Miami Marlins 7-6 on Friday, lost to the Boston Red Sox 6-1 on Saturday, were defeated by the Detroit

Coming off a stretch where they won six of eight games from March 6-13, the Atlanta Braves struggled this week, losing six of their last seven. The Braves fell to the Miami Marlins 7-6 on Friday, lost to the Boston Red Sox 6-1 on Saturday, were defeated by the Detroit Tigers 3-2 and the Houston Astros 7-3 on Sunday, fell to the New York Yankees 7-4 on Monday, and were edged by the Washington Nationals 3-2 on Tuesday. They snapped their losing streak on Wednesday, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays 8-7. 
Here's a look at how some former and potential future Gwinnett Stripers fared:

At the plate


Third baseman Austin Riley, Atlanta's No. 5 prospect according to MLB.com, went 2-for-2 and launched his first home run of Spring Training on Tuesday off Nationals right-hander Aníbal Sánchez, he also scored two runs in the contest (totals: 4 games, 3-for-9, 1 HR, 3 R, 1 RBI). Additionally, catcher Raffy Lopez hit his first homer of the spring in Friday's game off Marlins right-hander Pablo López.
Cristian Pache went 1-for-1 on Saturday and hit his team-leading fifth double. The Braves No. 4 prospect according to MLB.com leads the club with 10 RBIs and is second with eight runs scored (totals: 5 games, 1-for-8, 3 R, 2 RBI).

On the mound


Wes Parsons tossed a scoreless inning on Saturday and added two scoreless innings with three strikeouts on Monday. He has yet to give up a run in 11.0 innings pitched and has surrendered just three hits.
Kyle Wright, the Braves' No. 2 prospect according to MLB.com, struggled in a start on Saturday. Atlanta's 2017 first-round selection pitched 4.0 innings, gave up two runs on three hits and struck out five. He has posted a 1-1 record, a 3.00 ERA, and has struck out 16 in 12.0 innings of work.
Touki Toussaint's hot streak came to a halt as he gave up three runs on four hits in 4.0 innings pitched on Sunday. He struck out five to add to his team-leading total of 17.

What's next


The Braves continue Grapefruit League play today facing the Tampa Bay Rays at 1:05 p.m. Wright will be on the mound for Atlanta, left-hander Brendan McKay will start for Tampa Bay.
