Suns Announce New Manager in 2013 Former Manager Brian Daubach Promoted to Potomac Nationals Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns and Washington Nationals have announced that Tripp Keister will manage the Hagerstown Suns in 2013. Keister, who is being promoted from the Rookie Level Gulf Coast League Nationals, will fill the void left behind by former Suns Manager, Brian Daubach, who was promoted himself to the Single-A Potomac Nationals. "I'm looking forward to being in Hagerstown and the South Atlantic League," said Keister. "I'm excited about the opportunity to manage these players as they begin their first full season." Last season, Keister guided the GCL Nationals Club to a 27-33 record is his first professional season as manager. "With the expectations of our organization, it's a great time to be a part of the development process as these players will be a significant part of our future as a franchise," said Keister. Keister will be joined by former Potomac Nationals manager, Brian Rupp, who will take over hitting coach responsibilities and Franklin Bravo who will return for a second stint as the pitching coach for the Suns. "We are very excited to learn Tripp Keister will be with us next season. He has a great reputation within the Nationals organization and is already looking forward to helping the Suns with our community initiatives," said Suns General Manager Bill Farley.
