The streak is tied for the second-longest streak in the South Atlantic League this season. Justin Dean of Rome owns the longest streak this season with 12 games and Jarred Kelenic  from West Virginia and Lolo Sanchez  from Greensboro are tied with 10, but Lara owns the only active streak.

The Hagerstown Suns (9-11) and Greenville Drive (9-10) were suspended in the bottom of the third inning with two outs with Greenville in front 4-3 at Municipal Stadium Tuesday night. The two teams finished their nine-inning contest from Tuesday and then played a seven-inning nightcap.
The game resumed Wednesday evening with KJ Harrison at third and Jamori Blash at the plate. The Hub City got back within one in their fifth frame. Harrison brought in Jacob Rhinesmith with a base hit to center field.
Before yesterday's rain suspension, Hagerstown started the first with a lead-off home run from Cody Wilson. A Gilbert Lara RBI double capped off the inning and a 2-0 Suns lead. After four unanswered Drive runs, Justin Connell brought a man home in the third with an RBI groundout right before the rain came in Tuesday.
Jake Irvin (L, 0-2) suffered his second loss of the year. The righty allowed four earned runs in three frames with three strikeouts.
The Drive pushed their advantage to two late in the eighth. After Jordan Wren reached first on a strikeout-wild pitch, the left fielder stole second base and took third on a passed ball. The third baseman, Brandon Howlett singled to center to score Wren. Greenville tacked on to their 4-3 lead in the fifth with an RBI single from Devlin Granberg . Four runs crossed for Greenville across the second and third frames. Marino Campana's two-run blast preceded Alan Marrero's solo shot in a three-run second. Greenville scored in the third on a Triston Casas double.
Oddanier Mosqueda (W, 2-0) earned the game one win with 2.1 innings of relief. The lefty was first on the mound when the game resumed Wednesday. Rio Gomez (Sv, 3) earned the save with two scoreless frames and four punchouts.
Hagerstown broke away in the fifth. Cody Wilson hit a double to lead off the inning. Right after, Kyle Marinconz smacked a single to put runners at the corners with no one out. In extra innings, an eighth inning RBI single from Jacob Wren gave Greenville their first lead of the night. Grant Williams , who started the eighth on second, scored the go-ahead run. An insurance run crossed later in the frame. A sacrifice fly to left hit by Triston Casas did the deed. The Drive tied the game in the top of the seventh. Casas worked a lead-off single. Howlett followed with a go-ahead, one-out RBI double which glanced off the glove of Wilson in center field. Greenville stayed in the game with a run scored in the fourth.
