After a three up three down top of the first inning, the Hammerheads didn't waste any time getting their bats warmed up, putting four runs on the board in the 1st inning.
Joe Dunand would continue his hot hitting with an RBI (17) single, plating Corey Bird to take the 1-0 lead. Stone Garrett than hit a high chopper to the shortstop who was unable to make a play at first base. Martín Prado crossed home plate to put Jupiter ahead 2-0.

Will Allen would follow with a sacrifice fly to deep right field, in came Dunand for the third run of the inning.
With runners on the corners and two outs, John Silviano got caught in run down between 1st and 2nd. Meanwhile, Garrett hustled home to score before Silviano was tagged out to give the Hammerheads the 4-0 lead going into the 2nd inning.
The Hammerheads recorded five hits in the first two innings, but would not get another until the 8th inning. In the meantime, the Flying Tigers clawed their way back into the game.
Despite a rock solid start to the game by Robert Dugger, Lakeland would figure him out in the 4th inning. A two run blast cut the Hammerheads lead to 4-2.
Lakeland would inch closer in the 5th inning with an RBI single, making it 4-3.
Dugger would get pulled in the 6th inning. His final line: 5.2 IP. 8 H. 3 R. 7 K.
The Flying Tigers eventually took a 5-4 lead after plating a run in both the 7th and 8th innings, but back came the Hammerheads in the bottom half of the 8th.
With Justin Twine on second base, Rodrigo Ayarza, who checked into the game for Prado in the 7th inning, sent a deep fly ball into the right-center field gap. It was caught, but the outfielder stumbled to the ground on the play, allowing Twine to tag two bases and score the game tying run to make it 5-5.
Zech Lemond shut the Flying Tigers down in the 10th inning, facing only two batters and picking off the runner that led off the inning on second.
With Twine on third base, Ayarza would rip a ground ball just passed the outstretched arms of the second basemen and into left field, bringing in Twine to score the game winning run.
The Hammerheads sweep the Flying Tigers for their 11th victory of the season, and 4th in extra innings.
Joe Dunand extended his hit streak to 17 games dating back to last season.
Jupiter will begin a three game series with St. Lucie Friday (4/20) at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. First pitch set for 6:30pm.
