Jupiter, FL- (April 30, 2017) It was a rough day for the Hammerheads' bats, as they could only manage to put up one run on three hits in a 7-1 loss to the Cardinals Sunday afternoon.

Ben Holmes (0-2 4.79) got the start and was sharp for the first three innings, but struggled during the fourth. In a game that was tied at 1, Palm Beach would go onto score three runs on four hits and two walks, which would give them the lead for good. The Cardinals would have another three run inning in the eight off of Jupiter reliever Esmerling De La Rosa, which would put the game out of reach. Those runs were unearned.

The Hammerheads scored their lone run in the third inning, when Justin Bohn's sac-fly brought home JJ Gould to tie the game at 1. The Hammerheads didn't have a runner reach past first base for the rest of the game following Bohn's sacrifice.

The Hammerheads now trail 2-1 this season in the "Fins vs Feathers "series with their stadium rivals.

The Hammerheads will spend next week on the road, starting a four game series with the Clearwater Tharshers on Monday. Following the Clearwater series they'll spend the weekend in Daytona for a three game set with the Tortugas.

Felipe Gonzalez (2-1 2.66 ERA) will get the start tomorrow for the Hammerheads. He'll be opposed by Thrashers righty Seranthony Dominguez (2-0 0.95 ERA). First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
