Jupiter, FL (July 10, 2017)- Jeff Brigham (3-1, 2.60 ERA) tossed six innings of shutout ball, allowing only four hits while striking out nine Mets hitters in a Hammerheads 3-0 win Monday night.

Jupiter scored their first run in the second inning, when Dustin Geiger scored on a fielder's choice giving the Hammerheads a 1-0 lead.

The score would remain 1-0 until the bottom of the 8th, when Zach Sullivan hit a no-doubt, two-run homerun over the left field wall extending the lead to 3-0.

Felipe Gonzalez came out of the bullpen in the ninth, looking to pick up his second save in as many days. Patrick Mazeika led off the inning with a single. Next batter Peter Alonso struck out, bringing up Tim Tebow.

Gonzalez forced the Mets Designated Hitter to ground into a 3-6-3 double play ending the game.

Tomorrow is an off day before the Hammerheads face the Cardinals in the fourth Fins vs Feathers matchup of 2017. The three game series will begin on Wednesday, with first pitch set for 6:30 PM.
