Reading hit four solo home runs on their way to a 7-3 win over the Senators Sunday afternoon in front of 4,272 at FNB Field. Harrisburg rallied late, scoring two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth but fell short. With the win, Reading took the series four games to two.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Carson Teel took the hill to start the game. After a scoreless first when he stranded two runners, Reading scored a in the second, two in the third and another in the fourth. Carons went five innings allowing nine hits and four runs.

Ryan Tapani went two frames and allowed three runs on three solo home runs.

Jhonatan German pitched a scoreless eighth after allowing a leadoff walk.

Frankie Bartow allowed a leadoff double but didn’t allow Reading to score, facing just four hitters.

WITH THE GAVEL

KJ Harrison had three hits and drove in two runs for his best game this season.

Drew Mendoza went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
