The Senators rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to beat the Altoona Curve 7-4 Tuesday night at PNG Field in Altoona. The Sens scored three in the third to tie the game, then three more in the ninth to break a 4-4 tie. In the middle, Rhett Wiseman homered in the fifth to give Harrisburg a 4-3 lead.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Andrew Lee started for Harrisburg and allowed three runs in the first inning then settled down to toss five frames. He struck out six and walked two.

Bryan Dobzanski pitched a scoreless sixth inning striking out a batter.

Gabe Klobosits came on in the seventh and pitched into and out of a bases loaded no out situation giving up just one run. He then pitched a scoreless eighth.

Frankie Bartow allowed a leadoff single in the ninth but retired the next three batters for his seventh save.

WITH THE GAVEL

Aldrem Corredor went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs. He drove in the third run of the ninth inning and the seventh run of the game for the Senators.

Ali Castillo had two hits in the game including an RBI single in the three-run third inning.

Rhett Wiseman put the Senators on top with a solo home run, his sixth, in the fifth inning.

Corban Joseph had two hits, scored twice, and drove in a run.

FILIBUSTERS

Altoona came in with the 11th ranked defense in the league and committed three costly errors that led to five Senators runs scoring. Harrisbug finished the game hitting .197 their highest average this season. It’s just the second time this season the Senators have won game one of a series.
