The Senators took an early lead Wednesday, 1-0 in the third but Portland responded with seven of their own leading to an 11-6 Sea Dogs win. Harrisburg had 12 hits in the game and had chances late in the game but stranded six runners in scoring position in the final four innings. The Senators never quit in the game, scoring four runs in the final three frames while sending 20 batters to the plate.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Andrew Lee started facing six batters in the first two frames. In the third, Portland struck for seven runs on seven hits.

Carson Teel followed Lee and went four innings allowing one earned run on two hits. He faced 16 batters and gave the Sens much needed innings.

Malvin Pena went two innings and allowed two runs on four hits, though he faced just three batters in the eighth inning.

WITH THE GAVEL

Cole Freeman played a terrific third base and had three hits with an RBI.

Wilmer Perez had three hits in his first start with the Senators and a sacrifice fly to drive in a pair of runs.

Jackson Cluff continued hitting the ball in his return from the injured list with two more hits including a double and an RBI.

FILIBUSTERS

Harrisburg had twelve hits to raise the team batting average to .219, the highest it has been this season. Overall, the Sens went 5-for-16 with runners in scoring position. The Senators turned a season high four double plays.
