The Senators snapped the Portland Sea Dogs 14-game winning streak with a 1-0 win Thursday night at Hadlock Field. Harrisburg tallied the lone run in the game in the ninth inning. Three Sens pitchers combined to shut out the Sea Dogs. It was the third shut out for the Sens and the third time Portland has been shutout.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Luis Reyes went seven strong innings facing just 25 batters, four over the minimum through seven. He struck out four and walked three. Only once in the first seven innings did a Portland batter reach third base.

Pearson McMahan pitched the final two frames facing just six batters though Portland had a runner in each frame. The Senators turned double plays in both innings.

WITH THE GAVEL

Cole Freeman drove in the only run of the game with a bases loaded single in the ninth inning.

Both Jackson Cluff and Jake Alu had two hits in the game.

FILIBUSTERS

For the second straight game, the Senators turned four double plays. It was the first 1-0 Senators win this season. The teams combined to go 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position. Portland had a runner tagged out in a rundown between third and home on a wild pitch in the fourth inning.
