The Bowie Baysox took their fourth straight from the Senators Friday night with a 5-4 win at FNB Field. Harrisburg took a 2-1 lead in the first inning on a two-run home run by Wilson Garcia. They then took a 3-2 lead on an infield hit by Jackson Cluff in the fourth, but Bowie scored once in the fifth and two in the eighth to take a 5-3 lead into the ninth. Omar Meregildo hit a solo home run in the ninth with two outs for the Senators final tally.

Jake Irvin started and went four innings. He faced 18 batters, striking out eight and allowing two hits and one run. He left the game with the Sens leading 3-2. Francys Peguero followed and allowed a game tying home run in the fifth. Reid Schaller allowed two runs to score in the eighth but only one of the runs was earned. He did take the loss. Zach Brzykcy finished the eighth without allowing further damage and tossed a perfect ninth inning.

Garcia’s only hit was the home run in the first inning. Darren Baker had two hits to push his average to .298 since joining the Senators. Rudy Martin singled and walked twice. Harrisburg had seven hits in the game and went 2-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Harrisburg stole three bases, two by Martin and one for Baker. The lead the Senators took in the first inning was their first lead of the series.
