Summary
The Senators parlayed a five-run fifth inning into a 7-4 win over Akron Monday night at Canal Park in Akron. Harrisburg sent 10 batters to the plate in the turning point inning and had their first six batters all reach safely. The teams combined to use 11 pitchers as neither starter pitched out of the fifth inning. Eduardo Vera made his Senators debut and lasted into the fifth before being pulled. Akron went 3-for-16 in the game with runners in scoring position while the Sens went 4-for-10.
On Capitol Hill
•   Eduardo Vera made his Sens debut and went 4.1 innings allowing three runs on four hits. 
•   Andrew Istler went 1.2 innings in relief of Vera and allowing a run on two hits.
•   Jhonatan German earned the win with a scoreless inning of work.
•   Greg Holland and Aaron Barrett both pitched scoreless innings. Barrett earned his 27th save.  
With the Gavel
•   Dante Bichette, Jr. had two hits including a two-run double and a run-scoring single.
•   Ian Sagdal went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
•   Luis Garcia had two hits including a double, drove in a run and scored a run.
•   Nick Banks and Tres Barrera both doubled in the game.
Filibusters
•   The game took 3:22 and is the longest nine-inning game this season for the Senators.
•   Eduardo Vera became the 61st player to appear in a Senators uniform this season.
•   The win is the first this season at Canal Park.
•   With Bowie winning and Erie losing, the SeaWolves lead the Baysox by 2 games in the chase for the second half western division championship.
