The Harrisburg Senators overcame an early five-run deficit to defeat the Richmond Flying Squirrels 7-6 Sunday afternoon at the Diamond. Kelvin Gutierrez hit the go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the ninth as the Senators captured the four-game series with the comeback win.

The Squirrels opened the scoring in the second with a pair of runs on four singles against Senators starter Brady Dragmire.
Austin Davidson sliced the lead in half with a sacrifice fly in the fourth against Richmond starter Jordan Johnson to put the Senators on the scoreboard.
Richmond added to the lead with four more runs in the fourth. Following a Luigi Rodriguez RBI single, Miguel Gómez tripled in another pair of runs. The next batter, Ryan Howard, drove in the final run of the frame with a single to right as the Squirrels took a 6-1 advantage.
Neither starter factored in the decision. Dragmire surrendered six runs on 11 hits over five innings while Johnson allowed one run on four hits across five innings.
The Senators responded with four runs in the sixth to get back into the game. With one out, Davidson doubled and was singled home by Osvaldo Abreu. After a Drew Ward walk put two runners on base, Zach Collier hit a three-run home run to cut the Richmond lead to one at 6-5.
The Squirrels remained ahead by a run until the top of the ninth. With Stephen Perez on base after a leadoff single, Kelvin Gutierrez launched a two-run home run to left, his fourth of the season, as the Senators jumped in front 7-6.
After tossing a shutout eighth, Kaleb Fleck (2-3) finished the game a scoreless bottom of the ninth to earn the win and seal the 7-6 victory. Dan Slania (0-2) took the loss after allowing the go-ahead home run in two-thirds innings of relief.
The five-run comeback by the Senators tied the largest deficit they've overcome to win this season. It's the fourth time in the past ten games the Senators have trailed by three runs or more and come back to win.
Following an off-day on Monday, the Senators continue the road trip with a three-game series against the Reading Fightin Phils which starts Tuesday night. Kyle McGowin takes the mound for the Senators against Fightins starter Elniery García. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. at First Energy Stadium. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Harrisburg 96.5 & 95.3 FM and 1400 AM or at www.cbssportsharrisburg.com beginning at 7:00 p.m.
