Harrisburg Senators Announce 2020 Promotional Schedule
The Harrisburg Senators, the Double-A affiliate of the 2019 World Series Champion Washington Nationals, announced their 2020 promotional schedule Monday, which includes something for everyone in the family. The 2020 promotional schedule is loaded with fun for all and includes a season-long celebration of the Washington Nationals 2019 World Series Championship.
The Senators open the home portion of the 2020 season Thursday, April 16, against the Reading Fightin Phils. That night the first of 70 thrilling nights of baseball and family fun begin! The Senators also start their season long celebration of the Nationals 2019 World Series Championship with a Nationals World Series Poster giveaway to the first 2,500 fans of all ages. The home opener is also the first $3 craft beer Thursday.
For the first time, the Senators are participating in Minor League Baseball's "Copa de la Diversión" when they become the "Playeros de Harrisburg" for five games this season. The special games start April 17 when the Sens don the special uniforms for the first time and the first 1,000 fans 13 and older will receive a "Playeros de Harrisburg" T-shirt. May 23 is the second time the Sens become the "Playeros de Harrisburg" and the first 1,000 fans 12 and under receive a "Playeros de Harrisburg" youth jersey. The third game is June 28, the fourth game is July 8 and the final time the Senators become "Playeros de Harrisburg" is August 15.
The Senators are giving fans something free at 18 games this season highlighted by four bobblehead giveaways. Along with the 18 giveaway games, the Senators will light up the night with 12 firework shows in 2020. The shows take place every Friday beginning with May 15 and include, one Sunday (Memorial Day Weekend Sunday) one Saturday (August 1), July 2 and 3 to celebrate Independence Day early.
The Senators also take on serious subjects with the Colors Cancer of Cancer game May 16. June 12 through 14 is the Sens annual Blue Weekend highlighting prostate cancer awareness. On August 26 the Senators are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote.
The Senators promotional schedule is filled with fun and frivolity, but don't forget the baseball! FNB Field is the perfect place to see stars before they're stars. Over 800 players since 2010, from all 12 Eastern League teams, have played at FNB Field and gone on to the Major Leagues highlighted by Senators

The ballpark opens an hour before game time to fans Sunday through Friday, and on Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. Season ticket holders are allowed in the park 15 minutes before general gate opening.
