The Senators jumped to an early lead in game one with three runs in the second. After the team loaded the bases with one out on a single, walk and an error, Khayyan Norfork drove in a pair with a line drive single to left. The next batter, Hunter Jones, ripped a double into the right-field corner to plate another run and put the Senators ahead 3-0.
Drew Ward expanded the lead in the fourth by hitting a two-run home run to left, his seventh of the season, to give the Senators a 5-0 advantage.
Bowie scored their only two runs against Senators starter Logan Darnell in the top of the fourth when Anderson Feliz hit a two-run home run to right.
Darnell did not factor in the decision, as he allowed two runs on seven hits across his four frames.
The score remained 5-2 Senators until the sixth when the Senators scored four runs to break the game open. After the first two-batters reached, Stephen Perez singled to left to plate the inning's first run. The next-batter, Taylor Gushue, knocked an RBI double to left. Dan Gamache followed with a line out to first, but first baseman Aderlin Rodriguez threw the ball out of play attempting to double off the runner from third, which allowed two more runs to come into score, making it 9-2 Senators.
Colby Rasmus hit a two-run home run in the seventh, but Roman Mendez did not allow anything more in his one and a third innings as he picked up his fifth save and closed out the 9-4 victory.
Ismael Guillòn (1-3) earned the win with one and two thirds scoreless innings of relief. Bowie starter Brian Gonzalez (1-3) took the loss after surrendering five runs, four earned, while walking five and striking out two in four and two-thirds frames.
Bowie struck first in game two of the twin bill. With one out and runners at first and third, Aderlin Rodriguez hit a groundball to third to score the first run of the ballgame. Rodriguez reached on the play after Senators third baseman Drew Ward misplayed the groundball. One batter later, Ademar Rifaela knocked an RBI single to put Bowie ahead 2-0.
Raudy Read cut the lead in half with a solo home run in the first, his first with the Senators on his rehab assignment.
The Senators rallied to take the lead with four runs in the second. Following a single and double by Drew Ward and Osvaldo Abreu respectively, Hunter Jones hit a run-scoring single. The next batter, Zach Collier, launched a 1-0 pitch from Baysox starter Michael Kelly into the right field stands, his fourth home run of the season, as the Senators took a 5-2 lead.
After scoring a run in the fourth, Bowie was able to tie it in the top of the fifth on a two-run home run by Aderlin Rodriguez.
With the game tied 5-5, the Senators quickly jumped back in front in the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Collier, tripled to left-center. The next batter, Raudy Read, hit into a run-scoring ground out to third to drive in Collier and give the Senators a 6-5 advantage.

"We took advantage of balls up in the zone (in both games)," Senators manager Matt LeCroy said. "We stayed through the ball a lot better than we did last night and when you do that you put yourself in a good position to be successful."
"We did a lot of good things today, anytime you can sweep a doubleheader, no matter how you do it, it's a good thing."
The Senators and Baysox finish the series Thursday night. Jaron Long starts for the Senators against Baysox starter Keegan Akin. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at FNB Field. The games can be heard on CBS Sports Harrisburg 96.5 & 95.3 FM and 1400 AM or at www.cbssportsharrisburg.com beginning at 6:45 p.m.
