Summary
Altoona (21-20) scored eight unanswered runs while taking down the Senators 8-2 Saturday night in Altoona at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Harrisburg (29-12) scored first when Chuck Taylor homered, and Spencer Kieboom later followed with a sacrifice fly RBI in the second inning. The Curve scored five runs on five hits in the third and added three more in the eighth inning to secure their second win of the four-game series.

Turning Point
Following a leadoff double by Kieboom and a walk to Luis Sardiñas to open the seventh inning the Senators would have two on and no outs. Both runners advanced 90-feet on a balk call and it was runners at second and thirds base with no outs. The turning point of the game came when Curve reliever Joel Cesar struck out the next two hitters and got Luis Garcia to groundout and end the Senators threat and keep the score at 5-2 after seven innings. The Curve would then score three runs the very next inning and put the game out of reach.
On Capitol Hill
Sterling Sharp started and took the loss in the outing after going five innings, giving up five runs on six hits while walking three and striking out five. Joan Baez worked two innings out of the bullpen and did not allow a hit or base runner while striking out three. Right-hander Aaron Barrett could only retire two outs in his lone inning of work while surrendering three runs on three hits and Taylor Guilbeau faced two batters including the final out in the eighth inning.
With the Gavel
The Senators managed six baserunners over the final seven innings but could not score. The home run for Taylor was his sixth of the season while Kieboom and Taylor were the only Senators with a multi-hit night at the plate and only batters for the Sens to reach base more than once.
