The New Britain Rock Cats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, has placed Eastern League All-Star Game Tickets on sale today. Fans can purchase individual tickets for the mid summer Classic online at www.rockcats.com, by calling the box office at 860-224-8383 or in person at the Rock Cats box office (M-F 10AM-5PM). The Home Run Derby and Autograph Session is Tuesday, July 9th. The Rock Cats will host the Eastern League All-Star Game at New Britain Stadium on Wednesday, July 10 at 7:05 PM. This event is expected to be sold out. 

 

The Eastern League All-Star Game will feature some of the brightest stars from the league's 12 teams and will be a marquis event this summer in Connecticut. The Eastern League All-Star Game returns to New Britain for the first time since 2003. Details about the other All-Star related events will be announced at a later date.You can. Some of the recent Eastern League All-Stars include: Will Middlebrooks (Red Sox), Danny Espinosa (Nationals), Josh Thole (Mets), Madison Bumgarner (Giants), Alex Avila (Tigers), Bobby Parnell (Mets), Austin Jackson (Tigers), Kevin Youkilis (Yankees), Jose Bautista (Blue Jays), Ryan Howard (Phillies), Jon Lester (Red Sox) and Hanley Ramirez (Dodgers).

 

Former Rock Cats Eastern League All-Stars now in the majors include: Ben Revere, Denard Span, Matt Garza, Glen Perkins, Jose Mijares, Scott Baker, Michael Cuddyer, Torii Hunter. Rock Cats manager Jeff Smith was an EL All-Star selection in 2002.
