HARTFORD- PItcher Wil Crowe continued his dominance of Hartford and Drew Ward launched a three-run homer, as the Harrisburg Senators held on for a 6-4 win over the Yard Goats Friday night, before 6,443 at Dunkin' Donuts Park. It was the seventh sellout of the season for the Yard Goats.
The Senators' righty improved to 4-1 on the season, hurling six innings, scattering six hits and tying his season-high in strike outs with seven. The Washington Nationals second round draft pick in 2017 is 3-0 against Hartford this season with 17 scoreless innings.  
Hartford (18-17) mounted an eighth-inning rally with four runs off two relievers. Vince Fernandez' two-run homer and RBI hits by Ryan Metzler and Chris Rabago highlighted the frame. The first two Yard Goats reached base in the ninth against right-hander Joan Baez, but a double play and ground out ended the comeback bid. Abreu, Fernandez and Metzler each had two hits to lead the Hartford offense.
Harrisburg (24-9) has won seven of the first eight meetings against the Yard Goats this season. Rhett Wiseman and Luis Garcia each had three hits to lead the Senators' season-high 15 hit attack.
