Manchester, NH- Yard Goats RHP Ryan Feltner was terrific in his Double-A debut, as he fired 5.2 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts, leading Hartford to a 10-6 victory against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Thursday night at Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire. First baseman Sean Bouchard had two hits, including a three-run double helping Hartford to its third straight win. The Yard Goats used back-to-back four-run innings to chase starter and former big leaguer Johnny Barbato from the game. Taylor Snyder extended his hitting streak to 13 games, the longest active streak in the league, with a single in the sixth inning. The Yard Goats return home to Dunkin’ Donuts Park next Tuesday, June 22 and host the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

The Yard Goats took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on an RBI single by Willie Abreu and error. Meanwhile, Hartford starter Ryan Feltner recorded five strikeouts over the first two innings and did not permit a single hit over the first three frames. Feltner, who was leading the High-A West in ERA and wins, surrendered only three hits, two walks and recorded eight strikeouts for his first win.

Hartford added four runs in the fifth inning. Barbato hit the first two batters and then walked Jameson Hannah. Sean Bouchard then ripped a base-clearing three-run double to center field, scoring Manny Melendez, Max George and Hannah, giving the Yard Goats a 5-0 lead. Coco Montes singled Bouchard home later that inning to make it 6-0.

The Yard Goats were back at it in the sixth inning again. The Rockies affiliate scored four times on an RBI double from Max George, bases loaded walk, RBI single by Montes and a wild pitch to make it a 10-0 game. The Fisher Cats scored six times in the seventh inning, highlighted by a grand slam homer by Gabriel Morento.

The Yard Goats will continue their 12-game road trip on Friday in New Hampshire (6:35 PM) against the Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate). The game will be broadcast on AM 1410 WPOP and FM 100.9 FM and newsradio1410.iheart.com. The Yard Goats return to Dunkin’ Donuts Park on June 22 to host the Richmond Flying Squirrels at 7:05PM.
