Boise Hawks Send Two to NWL/PIO All Star Game

Jipping and Linkous headed to Hillsboro

BOISE, ID - The Boise Hawks, Short Season Class-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, in conjunction with the Northwest League, have announced they are sending two players to the Northwest League / Pioneer League All Star Game. Outfielders Daniel Jipping and Steven Linkous have been selected to represent the Northwest League in the short season Mid-Summer Classic held in Hillsboro, OR on August 1st.

Jipping leads the Northwest League with 9 home runs, along with a batting average of .250 and slugging percentage of .583. Jipping is projected to start in the outfield.

Linkous has also been effective at the plate, hitting .296 with a slugging average of .344. Additionally, Linkous leads the Northwest League in stolen bases at 26. The 2017 season is Linkous' second season with the Hawks and his first appearance at the All Star Game. Linkous also is expected to start in the outfield.
