Brewers Finale With Owlz Rained Out

Field ruled unplayable, game will be made up in Helena

Heavy rains in the Orem area soaked the Home of the Owlz on Wednesday night, forcing the cancellation of the series finale between the Helena Brewers and the Orem Owlz. It is the first rain out for the Brewers this season.

Helena was scheduled to conclude a seven-game road trip with a 7:05 PM first pitch against the Owlz. The field, however, took on too much water during the rain storm that blew through at approximately 7:05 PM.

After a half hour delay, the grounds crew determined the surface was unplayable, sending the Brewers back to Helena early.

The game between the Owlz and the Brewers will be made up at some point when Orem visits Kindrick Legion Field from August 14 through 17. Pending an evaluation by the Pioneer League, a double header will be scheduled.

Helena returns to Kindrick Legion Field for a seven-game home stand starting on Friday, August 11 at 7:05 PM when they host the Grand Junction Rockies. Both Helena and Grand Junction have not named their probable starters. Those unable to attend the game can listen to the action on News Radio 95 KCAP 95.9 FM/AM 950, TuneIn radio or on the MiLB First Pitch App.

Tickets to Helena Brewers games continue to be an outstanding value. General admission seats are $7, reserved seats are $9 and box seats are $10. Group outings and season ticket options are still available. Tickets can be purchased at the box office Monday-Friday from 9AM-5PM, over the phone at (406)-495-0500 or online at helenabrewers.net.
