Pozo Legs Out Second Triple of Season

Hickory, NC- The Crawdads fell 5-1 to the Lakewood BlueClaws in Sunday's series finale. The loss puts the 'Dads four and a half games behind the BlueClaws in the division race with eight games to play.

Hickory, NC- The Crawdads fell 5-1 to the Lakewood BlueClaws in Sunday's series finale. The loss puts the 'Dads four and a half games behind the BlueClaws in the division race with eight games to play.

The Crawdads took a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Yohel Pozo hit a two-out triple and dashed home to score on a passed ball.
The BlueClaws scored two runs in the fourth inning to take the lead. They added on three more runs in the sixth inning to make the score 5-1. 'Dads starting pitcher Noah Bremer's evening was done after five and two thirds innings. He was charged with all five earned runs and took his sixth loss of the season. He allowed four hits, no walks and struck out five.
Preston Scott had a pair of hits and a couple nice catches in left field.
The Crawdads head to Delmarva tomorrow to start a four game series against the Shorebirds. They return to the Frans on Friday night for the season's final four games.
