Hickory, NC- The Crawdads lost to the Charleston RiverDogs Monday afternoon 3-1 in a Memorial Day Matinee to wrap up the homestand.

Hickory, NC- The Crawdads lost to the Charleston RiverDogs Monday afternoon 3-1 in a Memorial Day Matinee to wrap up the homestand.

The game got underway after an hour weather delay. Rain intermittently came down throughout the afternoon, but the game continued through the showers.
The RiverDogs scored a run off Crawdads starter Tyree Thompson in the first inning to give them an early lead. They added a pair of runs in the third inning after a fielding error by left fielder Austin O'Banion. Tyree Thompson completed five innings, seven hits, one earned run allowed, one walk and three strikeouts.
The 'Dads got a brief rally going in the bottom of the ninth as Justin Jacobs was hit by a pitch and brought around to score on a passed ball and a single by center fielder Bubba Thompson that made the score 3-1.
After a solo homerun and a grand slam yesterday, 'Dads shortstop Ryan Dorow added a double this afternoon.
The 'Dads return to the Frans on Tuesday, June 5th to begin a six day homestand. The homestand will feature a Grease 40th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, and Friday will be Disney Night and Friday Fireworks.
