Nic Laio entered the game in the fourth, giving up two runs in his first inning of work to bring the score to 12-0. He settled down for three scoreless frames before handing the ball to Justin Marsden for the final six outs.

On offense, the Crawdads were quiet, collecting just five hits. Blaine Crim, Frainyer Chavez, and Jake Guenther all hit singles. Jose Acosta had a triple and Jared Walker picked up a two-out double in the ninth.
