Crawdads to Host Exhibition Game vs LR
Hickory, NC- The Crawdads are thrilled to announce that they will be hosting an exhibition game against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears on Monday, April 6th, presented by Custom Design. The first pitch will be at 6:30pm and gates will open an hour before at 5:30pm.

Admission is free of charge compliments of the YMCA of Catawba Valley. The YMCA will be on site collecting donations for their local programs from those who wish to donate.
The YMCA of Catawba Valley is dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities. One way the YMCA provides long lasting impact in the community is through their Annual Campaign. They help youth be able to participate in programs and sports, children receive quality child care, and parents and families enjoy better health and fitness through membership support. Each year the YMCA of Catawba Valley provides over $700,000 in financial aid to the community.
The first and third base concession stands along with the Catawba Farms Crawdads Café will be open during the game to serve refreshments and food.
The exhibition will be the first time the Crawdads will be in action since last year's Championship Series in Lexington. The 'Dads came up just shy of a title in 2019 but will look to bring home the fourth title in franchise history this season. The Bears' season will get underway later this month and will be led by new manager Chris Ramirez.
The 'Dads won last year's exhibition by a score of 16-1 while the Bears won the first two matchups, defeating the Crawdads in 2015 and 2016. The exhibition in 2017 was rained out while scheduling conflicts prevented them from playing in 2018.
The 'Dads will open the regular season against the West Virginia Power on the road on Thursday, April 9th. They will play four games in West Virginia before making the trip down to Charleston, South Carolina for three games to conclude the road trip.
The Crawdads home opener is scheduled for Thursday, April 16th against the Lexington Legends at 7pm. Individual game tickets will go on sale online on Friday, March 20th. They will be available at the stadium at the Spring Fling on Saturday, March 21st. Group tickets, luxury suites, and People's Bank Party Patios are currently on sale for all 70 games.
