Crawmoms Fall to Rome 7-2 to Even Series at 1

Hickory, NC- Crawmoms weekend wrapped up Sunday afternoon with a 7-2 loss to Rome. The loss evens the series at one game each.  

Hickory, NC- Crawmoms weekend wrapped up Sunday afternoon with a 7-2 loss to Rome. The loss evens the series at one game each.  

Crawmoms centerfielder Bubba Thompson led off the game with a single to left. Thompson stole second base during the next at bat for his first stolen base of the season.
The Braves started the afternoon's scoring with three runs in the second inning of Crawmoms righty Reid Anderson.
The Crawmoms responded in the bottom half of the inning on a homerun by catcher Yohel Pozo.
The Braves scored again in the third and sixth inning to make the score 6-1.
Crawmoms left fielder Austin O'Banion and third baseman Tyler Ratliff led off the bottom of the sixth with consecutive walks. They loaded the bases when first baseman Sam Huff was hit by a pitch. Second baseman Kole Enright singled to center to bring O'Banion in and make the score 6-2.
The final run of the game came on a single in the ninth by Rome to bring the score to 7-2.
The Crawdads play tomorrow night with Make a Difference Monday. Fans who donate canned goods (at least a $5 value) for the Manpower canned food drive will receive a free ticket to the game. The first pitch will be at 6pm.
