Hickory, NC- As part of Minor League Baseball's "Copa de la Diversión" program, the Crawdads are proud to take on the identity of Las Llamas de Hickory for six games during the 2019 season presented by the Catawba County Partnership for Children and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Dating back to the Incan Empire, llamas have long been revered for their utility and strength, both of which are tentpoles for the Crawdads organization. The logo holds nods to both Hickory's furniture-producing industry, see the furniture leg in the llama's mouth, and Latin America's vibrancy through the animal's colorful chullo.
The Llamas will first make an appearance on Friday, June 7th in what will kick-off a weekend long Llamas series. The team will take on the Columbia Fireflies, who will be sporting their Copa identity as well. The Llamas will also make an appearance on Wednesday, July 17th, Thursday, August 8th, and Sunday, August 25th.
Each night the Crawdads will celebrate Latino community and heritage through culturally-relevant music, concessions items, and promotions. Live llamas will be at the stadium for select Copa games.
