The Aquasox earned their first run by means of a fielder's choice in the first, scoring Connor Hoover.
Hillsboro broke through early and often, in the bottom half of the second inning the Hops pushed across the tying run by way of a Tristin English single that scored Kristian Robinson. English later came around on a pickoff attempted - turned error by the pitcher Benitez.
The gruesome twosome of Robinson and English broke through in the bottom of the third by means of an English tater to left field. English's second homer of the season was a no-doubter and added to the Hops lead.
Southpaw Michel Gelabert settled in early and found his rhythm. The left-hander for Hillsboro provided four innings of shutout baseball and kept the Hops lead safe and sound. Gelabert was later replaced by Jake Polancic who threw two innings of scoreless ball. Polancic has been an absolute unit for the Hops this year, posting an outrageous 0.00 earned run average.
Hillsboro tacked on their fifth run of the night when red hot Ricky Martinez ripped a single to drive in David Garza jr.. Robinson stole three bases on the night, just because. The Hops offense was alive tonight getting hits from all over the lineup. English provided two hits and three RBIs, Martinez, Steven Leyton, Robinson, Nick Dalesandro, and Garza Jr all added to the total for the night.
Yaramil Hiraldo came in the ninth inning to shut the door on Everett and capped an incredible day from the staff.
