Hillsboro Hops Announce Festivities Around 2017 Northwest League vs Pioneer League All-Star Game

16 Cities & 14 MLB Franchises Will Be Represented During Three Days of Festivities

Hillsboro, OR (July 11, 2017) - The Hillsboro Hops (@HillsboroHops) announced festivities around the 2017 Northwest League vs Pioneer League All-Star game at Ron Tonkin Field. The three days of All-Star festivities will include two FREE fan events, a home run derby and the All-Star game itself. Sixteen cities and fourteen MLB affiliations will be represented.

Sunday, July 30th: Kids All-Star Game Fan-Fest presented by Intel - Noon to 6:00pm. FREE admission and parking:.
All are invited, but this day is geared more towards kids and families and will feature speed pitch, batting cages, virtual reality stations, six inflatables, a 60-foot Play.Fit.Fun outdoor obstacle course and an attempt at the Guinness World Record for largest game of catch (972 pairs). Commemorative baseballs will be given to the first 1000 pairs and participants must bring their own gloves. Food and beer will be available for purchase.

Monday, July 31st: Party at the Park from 6:00pm -10:00pm. FREE admission and parking:
Craft beer tasting from many of the cities competing in the All-Star game will be available for purchase. The event will also feature lawn games, specialty food items, live music and more.

Tuesday, August 1st: Home Run Derby presented by WSC Insurance and 2017 All-Star Game:
Home Run Derby featuring ESPN SportsCenter anchor Neil Everett as the emcee will begin at 5:15pm. The 2017 Northwest League vs Pioneer League All-Star game featuring 16 cities and 14 MLB franchises will follow, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm.

Limited field box, field reserved and general admission seats remain for the Home Run Derby and All-Star game on August 1st (one ticket for both events). Tickets are available at www.hillsborohops.com or by calling the Hillsboro front office at (503) 640-0887.  

The 2017 All-Stars will be treated to private parties at Nike World Headquarters and TopGolf during their visit to Hillsboro.
