Bowling Green, KY - In game two of a three-game set and a week at home at Bowling Green Ballpark, the Bowling Green Hot Rods failed to capitalize on opportunities in a 7-2 loss against the Quad Cities River Bandits on Tuesday night.

Offensively, the Hot Rods stranded the bases-loaded in both the third and fifth inning. They stranded 12 runners on base overall and were just 1-for 12 with runners in scoring position during the night.
Bowling Green scored a run in the third inning on a bases-loaded walk drawn by first basemen Nathaniel Lowe and then a run in the fourth inning when second basemen Robbie Tenerowicz scampered home from third on a wild pitch by River Bandits starter Dustin Hunt.
The Hot Rods churned out 11 hits and were led by shortstop Lucius Fox , who had his second three-hit game in the last three contests. Lowe, third basemen Michael Brosseau and outfielder Joshua Lowe each had two hits.
For Quad Cities, they held the lead the entire game starting in the first inning with a RBI single by Randy César against Hot Rods starter J.D Busfield (L, 3-1).
The River Bandits also got a RBI double from catcher Chuckie Robinson in the fourth, a RBI single from left fielder Ronnie Dawson in the sixth and a three-run ninth that started with a sacrifice fly from designated hitter Carmen Bennedetti and ended with a RBI double by second basemen Rodrigo Ayarza along with another RBI single by Cesar.
Quad Cities hit six doubles over the course of the game, the most against the Hot Rods pitching staff all season.
The Hot Rods will continue their stretch at home with the finale and rubbermatch of three games against the Quad Cities River Bandits in Southcentral Kentucky on Wednesday morning. Bowling Green will send LHP Brock Burke  to the mound while the River Bandits will counter LHP Cionel Pérez.
First pitch is scheduled for 10:35 a.m. central time at Bowling Green Ballpark.
