BOWLING GREEN, KY --- In the second game of a eight-game homestand, the Bowling Green Hot Rods got a walkoff homer from outfielder Joshua Lowe in a come-from-behind 5-4 win over the Lake County Captains on Tuesday night. 
The walkoff homer from Lowe capped off a back-and-forth night that started in the in the bottom of the second with a solo homer by outfielder Emilio Gustave to give the Hot Rods a 1-0 lead. 
For Gustave, the homer was his second in as many games played and fourth of the season. 
After Lake County scored two runs in the top of the third and Bowling Green tacked on a run in the bottom of the inning on a wild pitch in the bottom of the inning to tie the game back up, the Captains scored two runs in the sixth inning to take a 4-2 lead. 
To start a comeback that led to just their second win of the year when trailing after seven innings, Bowling Green got a solo homer in the seventh inning from outfielder Jesus Sanchez to pull their deficit to one run. 
The homer for Sanchez was his team-high #13 of the season. 
Following a sacrfice fly by Gustave in the eighth inning to tie the game up at 4-4, Lowe ended the game in style with his solo homer off of Captains righty Cesar Ventura (L, 0-1) to win the game. 
Offensively, catcher Rene Pinto paced the Hot Rods offense with two hits along with Lowe, Sanchez and Gustave. 
On the pitching side, righty Joe Serrapica (W, 2-1) got the victory in relief by tossing a scoreless eighth inning. 
With the win, the Hot Rods notched their third walkoff victory of the season at Bowling Green Ballpark and second of the second half. They also brought their magic number to clinch a playoff spot down to twelve. 
Bowling Green will try to continue their winning ways on Wednesday in the third game of a eight-game homestand with the third of four games against the Lake County Captains at Bowling Green Ballpark.
The Hot Rods will send LHP Kenny Rosenberg  to the mound while the Captains will counter lefty Juan Hillman.
First pitch is at 6:35 PM.
