Opener Between Hot Rods and Cougars Pushed Back to Tuesday

Bowling Green, Ky. - For the second consecutive day, rain has altered the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class-A/Tampa Bay Rays) schedule. Rain forced the club to postpone their opener with the Kane County Cougars (Chicago Cubs) until Tuesday afternoon. The teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m., with gates at Bowling Green Ballpark opening up at 4:30 p.m.

The T-Shirt Tuesday giveaway will still take place as gates open at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. The two clubs will play a pair of seven-inning contests, with a 25-minute break between game one and game two. Any ticket with Monday's date on it is good for any remaining Hot Rods game this season, excluding Saturday, July 26.

Bowling Green is opening up a six-game homestand at Bowling Green Ballpark. Including Tuesday afternoon's doubleheader, the Hot Rods are in town through Saturday, when Sundy Best will take the stage following the contest.
