DU GOES FOR TWO, RENEGADES DROP SERIES FINALE

The Renegades weren't able to end their series with the Brooklyn Cyclones on a high note, as they fell to the Mets' affiliate Sunday, 10-3.

The Gades have won 13 out of 18 from Brooklyn.

Shawn Semple started the game for the Renegades, and his line was interesting, to say the least. He threw 5.1 innings, striking out eight but giving up three earned runs on three home runs.

In the bottom of the second, the Renegades were able to score a run off of a bases-loaded walk to Ezequiel Duran, but that was about all the action they would get at the plate for many innings to come.

Matt Minnick relieved Semple and went 1.2 IP, allowing three hits, two walks, and two strikeouts.

The Cyclones bats were certainly awake after yesterday, as they mustered up 10 runs, with six of them coming in the top of the 8th inning. Charlie Ruegger was responsible for five earned runs while Minnick claimed the other run.

Antoine Duplantis hit two homers for the Cyclones, while Jeremy Vasquez added three RBI.

Barrett Loseke came in to relieve Ruegger of his duties, and he threw one inning where he allowed a hit and struck out a batter.

Oliver Dunn had a single in the bottom of the 9th, but the Renegades couldn't make up seven runs, and their win streak was snapped at seven.

The Renegades will travel to Wilmington tomorrow and will return for a home series against the Blue Rocks on July 27th.
