GADES STEAM THE BLUECLAWS IN A 10-1 VICTORY

LAKEWOOD, NJ (May 9, 2021) – The Hudson Valley Renegades finished up their opening road trip with a 10-1 win over the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. The win gave the Gades a split of the six-game set in New Jersey.

Oswald Peraza led the parade with four hits and two runs scored. Josh Breaux drove in four runs, including a three-run home run in the seventh innings.

Steven Sensley started the scoring in the second when he lined a three-run homer to right. Hudson Valley led 4-0 after two and added to it in the fourth on a triple by Ezequiel Duran and a single by Brandon Lockridge.

Luis Medina shined on the mound once again, allowing one hit and striking out seven over five innings. Three relievers followed to hold the BlueClaws to two hits and one run. Hudson Valley pitching struck out 13 batters.

The Renegades return to Dutchess Stadium for the home opener on Tuesday, May 11 at 7:05 p.m. against the Aberdeen IronBirds. Pregame ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m.. Check hvrenegades.com for tickets and other information.
