NOT JOSH-IN AROUND, THE RENEGADES WIN 5TH STRAIGHT

The Renegades offense was powered by their two Josh's (Smith and Breaux), as they beat the Brooklyn Cyclones for the third time in as many games. The Renegades 6-4 victory extended their win streak to five games and also extended their division lead over Aberdeen.

Josh Breaux ignited the Fireworks Friday show with a solo home run in the bottom of the first to put the Gades up, 1-0. The Cyclones clawed back and tied the game in the top of the third, but that would be the last time the game was tied, as the catching duo of Breaux and Anthony Seigler hit back to back RBI doubles in the home half of the 3rd.

Breaux would finish the game a triple shy of the cycle, a career night for the catcher.

The other Josh, that being Smith, drove in a run in the bottom of the 4th when he grounded a ball just under the glove of the first basemen, extending the Renegades lead to 4-2. Ezequiel Duran and Anthony Seigler would add a pair of RBI and the Renegades would finish with a solid six runs.

On the bump, Jhony Brito had himself a career day as well, throwing seven innings and striking out seven as well.

Newcomer Trevor Holloway came into the game in the 8th inning and impressed, striking out three, walking one, but giving up two runs on a home run.

The game ended on a 4-6-3 double play, and the night ended in a spectacular fireworks show.

The Renegades will take on the Cyclones in a doubleheader on Saturday, with first pitch at 4:05 p.m.
