VOLPE HOMERS AS GADES WRAP-UP ROAD TRIP WITH WIN

Anthony Volpe led off Sunday's game with a home run as the Hudson Valley Renegades beat the Aberdeen IronBirds, 10-8 in Maryland.

The win completes an 8-5 road trip for Hudson Valley.

Each team committed three errors as the Gades scored their 10 runs on six hits. Pablo Olivares led the way with two runs batted in and Volpe paced the offense with three hits as he raised his batting average to .326.

Reid Anderson worked five innings to earn his first win (1-2). Three relievers went the rest of the way with Sean Boyle picking up his first save.

Connor Gillispie (4-7) took the loss for Aberdeen.

The Renegades finish the season series with Aberdeen at 7-5. The team returns to Dutchess Stadium Tuesday night at 7:05 when they face the Wilmington Blue Rocks.
