LOUISVILLE, KY. – A two-out grand slam off the bat of Narciso Crook in the seventh inning plated insurance runs the Louisville Bats would need in a 6-3 win over the Indianapolis Indians on Thursday night.

With Louisville (48-62) leading by one run entering the seventh inning, the Bats loaded the bases with one out on a single, walk and hit batter. After Mike Freeman went down as the second strikeout of the frame, Narciso Crook sent a 3-1 pitch over the wall in left field to extend the lead, 6-1.

Four consecutive singles by the Indians (52-58) in the top of the eighth inning cut the Bats lead to three runs. With one out and the bases loaded, Phillip Evans singled to right field to score two.

Riley O’Brien (W, 7-6) surrendered one run on just two hits in five innings. In his third start this season, Tanner Anderson (L, 2-3) surrendered two runs in a season-high five innings pitched. Dauri Moreta (S, 7) shut down the Indians in the ninth inning.

Indianapolis will look to even the series at 2-2 on Friday night at 7:00 PM. RHP James Marvel (4-6, 5.45) will face off against LHP Tommy Milone (0-1, 3.24).
