LOUISVILLE, KY. - Will Craig launched his 23rd home run of the season, but the Louisville Bats received hits from 10 different batters to top the Indianapolis Indians on Sunday night, 8-2. Craig's long ball placed him in a tie for fourth-most homers in a season for the Tribe since 1996.

Louisville (59-80) never trailed in the game thanks to a three-run first inning. José Peraza and Christian Colón began the frame with singles. One out later, Narciso Crook drew a walk to load the bases. Chadwick Tromp then lined a hit to center to knock in a pair. The inning was capped when Blake Trahan sliced a single to right field that advanced Crook home.
Craig's homer trimmed the deficit to 3-1 for a brief period as it was clubbed in the top of the second. Craig is now tied with Graham Koonce (2005) and Micah Franklin (2001) for the most homers in a season since Victory Field opened. It also extended his career high he originally set last year (20) with Double-A Altoona.
Indianapolis (65-74) would only push one more across, it came on a groundout from Jake Elmore in the sixth inning.
The Bats answered Craig's homer with a pair in the bottom of the second. Colon hit a sacrifice fly to left field, and Crook singled home Peraza to extend the advantage. Mitch Nay and Brian O'Grady added run-scoring hits in the sixth, and Alfredo Rodriguez capped the night's scoring with a single to send home Tromp in the seventh.
Indians pitching combined to fan 12 batters, but the five hurlers also allowed 15 hits. Alex McRae (7-8) was handed the loss. Tejay Antone (4-8) fanned 10 Indy batters over his seven innings of work to earn the victory for Louisville.
The Indians will conclude the 2019 season on Monday afternoon against the Bats, first pitch from Louisville is set for 1 p.m.
