INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Indians have announced Super Hero Nights will make their return to Victory Field this season. A fan favorite since 2015, Super Hero Nights offer fans a chance to meet their favorite heroes up close, pick up a themed giveaway and bid on specialty jerseys worn by the players with proceeds going to local non-profits.

"We're excited about bringing Super Hero Nights back for our fans," said Joel Zawacki, assistant general manager for corporate sales and marketing. "It's a great opportunity to shine a light on our nonprofit partners and their missions, while also providing fans the chance to see more than just a ballgame."
The Tribe will offer three MARVEL Super Hero Nights this season, including Black Panther on April 21, Ant-Man on June 23, and Iron Man and Spider-Man on July 7. Each game will feature a bobblehead giveaway for the first 2,500 fans, an auction for game-worn jerseys themed for each night, and a character meet-and-greet in PNC Plaza before and during the games.
Victory Field will also host two DC Comics Super Hero Nights, including Superman and Wonder Woman on May 12 and Batman and The Joker on August 11. Fans can snap photos with characters in PNC Plaza and bid on game-worn jerseys. A pregame giveaway will also be available for the first 1,500 kids 14 and under, with the giveaway item yet to be announced.
In 2017, the Indians raised nearly $49,000 for local nonprofits through in-game auctions on specialty jerseys. This season, the Tribe are scheduled to wear themed jerseys on five Super Hero Nights and Independence Day.
Tickets for these games are currently available as part of Indians Season and Mini Plans. Single-game tickets go on sale at the Victory Field Box Office and IndyIndians.com starting Thursday, March 1.
The Tribe open the 2018 season when they host the Columbus Clippers on Friday, April 6. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Opening Night festivities include the pregame Bike to the Ballpark, which leaves from Sun King Brewery's downtown location, and a postgame fireworks display. The Indians are also offering their 60-degree Weather Guarantee. If the temperature at first pitch is below 60 degrees, fans in attendance receive a ticket to another April game of their choice.
