Madson Joining 66ers Monday, IE Wins Sunday 3-1
May 14, 2013

San Bernardino, CA- - The Inland Empire 66ers (21-15) will have some additional help from their major league affiliate Monday night when Ryan Madson joins the squad for the finale of their four game series with the Visalia Rawhide (23-14). The Angels reliever is expected to throw an inning to help the 66ers win their series outright with the Rawhide, a series which they took a two games to one lead in after a 3-1 victory Sunday.

Inland Empire got an incredible effort from the mound from a trio of Angels minor league arms. Orangel Arenas led the way in his first start below AAA of 2013. The Venezuelan threw seven innings allowing just one run before giving way to Eric Cendejas and Mike Morin in the pen. Each right handed reliever threw a scoreless inning in the win, Cendejas earning a hold, and Morin the save.

Offensively Michael Snyder started things off right for Inland Empire with a solo homer in the 2nd inning. The 66ers added two more runs in the frame to jump to a 3-0 lead they would not relinquish.

The 66ers will wrap the home stand with Madson scheduled to pitch one inning on Monday at San Manuel Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM and can be heard on AM 1050 KCAA.
