Iowa Wins Third Straight
LAS VEGAS, NV - The Iowa Cubs (18-21) locked a 3-1 series win, defeating the Las Vegas 51s (16-25) 6-5, Thursday at Cashman Field. The 51s out-hit the I-Cubs 13-7 but Iowa prevailed, winning its' third straight game to match a season-best win streak.

The I-Cubs weren't phased by the 5-2 deficit. Iowa responded immediately, duplicating the effort with four runs of its' own in the top of the eighth. The first three batters of the inning reached to load the bases. Ozzie Martinez, pinch-hitting for Pena, came through with a single to center to bring in the first run of the inning.
Iowa is back for Firework Friday at Principal Park tomorrow, beginning a series with Tacoma at 7:08 p.m. The eight-game homestand features a Superhero Cape Giveaway for the kids on Sunday, May 21, as well as Dog Days and Dollar Dogs on Tuesday, May 23.
