PAPILLION, NE - The Omaha Storm Chasers (68-72) cranked three home runs in the eighth inning to capture the lead and run away with a 7-5 triumph over the Iowa Cubs (67-71), Sunday at Werner Park. Omaha hit four homers in the game, two coming off the bat of former I-Cub Jorge Soler.

Iowa and Omaha traded leads beginning in the first as John Andreoli cracked the first pitch of the ballgame over the left field fence for his 14th home run of the season. Omaha quickly took the edge in the bottom of the frame, thanks to a Soler two-run blast.
Elliot Soto locked the game with his second home run of the season in the third and Iowa re-took the edge with a two-run fourth. Consecutive hits from Taylor Davis, Jacob Hannemann, Chris Dominguez and Chesny Young did the damage, as Dominguez and Young claimed the RBI.
Iowa added a run in the fifth, but couldn't hold on to the lead as Omaha plated one in the seventh and collected home runs from Soler, Frank Schwindel and Ruben Sosa in the eighth to put the Storm Chasers ahead for good.
Brad Markey (0-1) took the loss, allowing four runs, two earned, over 3.2 innings in relief. Christian Binford (7-10) captured the win after spinning eight frames and Yender Càramo (2) claimed the save.
The I-Cubs got multi-hit games from Hannemann, Dominguez and Soto as they out-hit the Storm Chasers, 10-9.
Iowa and Omaha play the final game of the 2017 season at Werner Park tomorrow at 12:05 p.m. Follow the action on AM 940 or www.iowacubs.com.
