Rafael Dolis Returns to I-Cubs

Colorado Springs, CO - The Chicago Cubs activated RHP Kyuji Fujikawa from the disabled list today and optioned RHP Rafael Dolis to the Iowa Cubs. This will be Dolis' third stint with Iowa this season. The Cubs also traded INF Alberto Gonzalez to the New York Yankees for a player to be named later.

Dolis has no record, a 3.52 ERA, and one save in eight games with Iowa. In 7.2 innings, he has allowed three runs on six hits, walked three, and struck out seven. He has made one appearance in each of his two stints with Chicago and has allowed two unearned runs in 1.2 innings with the big club. Dolis has made 37 appearances with Chicago over the last three seasons.

Gonzalez opened the season with Chicago, but was designated for assignment, cleared waivers, and outrighted to Iowa on April 24. In 10 games with the I-Cubs, he batted .303 (10-for-33) with a double and three RBI. He leaves Iowa on a five-game hitting streak.

The Cubs play the final game of a four-game series at Colorado Springs tonight at 7:35 Central time. LH Brooks Raley (3-2, 3.78) will pitch for the Cubs against LH Drew Pomeranz (4-0, 2.54) for the Sky Sox. The game will be broadcast live on AM 940 and streamed live at iowacubs.com with the On-Deck Circle Pre-Game Show starting at 6:45.
