Vote for Rizzo in Central Iowa Sports Awards

Des Moines, IA - Iowa Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo is a finalist for a Central Iowa Sports Award sponsored by the Des Moines Area Sports Commission and Greater Des Moines Convention & Visitors Bureau. Rizzo is one of four finalists for Professional Athlete of the Year. I-Cubs first baseman Bryan LaHair won the award last year.

Voting is open to the public through Sunday, February 10. Fans can log onto facebook.com/catchdesmoines to cast their ballot. Rizzo is up against Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, Iowa Crush quarterback Jennifer McIntire, and NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. in the pro athlete category.
