New: Massive LED Ribbon Board in 2012

February 9, 2012
A gigantic state-of-the-art LED ribbon board encompassing the entire width of Coca-Cola Park's iconic scoreboard will be added prior to Opening Day, the club announced today. The LED board, measuring 76-feet wide by 4-feet tall, will run parallel to the line score at the bottom of the scoreboard, feature vivid displays to enhance the fan experience and provide the first true motion advertising opportunity for the club's marketing partners.

Today's LED ribbon board announcement marks the second substantial reinvestment project of the off-season, joining the Red Robin Tiki Terrace and Oasis that is also primed to debut on Opening Day.

"Our fans are going to be happier than pigs in mud when they first get their eyes on this truly special display," exclaimed IronPigs General Manager Kurt Landes. "This is another example of our organization's commitment to provide the best fans in Minor League Baseball with jaw-dropping, one-of-a-kind amenities and experiences."

The brand-new LED Ribbon board is being designed and manufactured by Daktronics, an industry leader that is recognized worldwide for it displays that use light emitting diede (LED) technology. Installation of the new board is scheduled for mid-to-late March.

Coca-Cola Park's scoreboard structure is already the largest and most-celebrated in Minor League Baseball, towering nine stories above ground level along with a 20' x 50' high-definition video board. The scoreboard's signature piece is the larger-than-life Coca-Cola bottle that propels fireworks and illuminates the Lehigh Valley sky when the IronPigs score a run.

The brand-new LED ribbon board becomes Coca-Cola Park's sixth video display, joining the aforementioned high-definition video board, the bullpen and home plate LED boards along with two fascia displays affixed to the façade of the Club Level on both the first base and third base sides.
