Fife Scheduled to Rehab with Isotopes

Right-handed pitcher Stephen Fife is scheduled to make a Major League rehabilitation start with the Albuquerque Isotopes tonight, July 22 after being placed on the disabled list by the Dodgers on July 8 with right shoulder bursitis. The Isotopes take on the Nashville Sounds for a 6:05 p.m. start tonight at Herschel Greer Stadium.

Fife has gone 3-3 with a 2.76 ERA (14 ER/45.2 IP) in eight starts for Los Angeles. The 26-year-old missed 33 games on the 15-day disabled list from April 22-May 30 with right shoulder bursitis.

The Boise native has started three games for the Isotopes in 2013 after opening the season with the club. His last outing came on April 15 against the Iowa Cubs. He is 1-1 on the year with a 4.61 ERA (7 ER/13.2 IP) for Albuquerque with 14 strikeouts to just three walks.

The Isotopes open a four-game road trip against the Nashville Sounds tonight at 6:05 PM MDT. Los Angeles Dodgers' Stephen Fife (3-3, 2.76) will be on the mound for Albuquerque making a rehab start against Chris Narveson (2-6, 6.42) for Nashville. The Topes return to Albuquerque for a four-game set against the New Orleans Zephyrs beginning Friday, July 26 at 7:05 PM.
