Help the Isotopes Strike Out Cancer All Homestand Long

Net Proceeds of Breast Cancer Awareness Homestand to Benefit Susan G. Koman of Central New Mexico
July 23, 2013

The Albuquerque Isotopes will hold their first Breast Cancer Awareness homestand in the club's history starting this Friday. In support of the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, the Isotopes will wear special pink jerseys each game of the series. Fans are encouraged to join their Isotopes in wearing PINK to the games as well to support the cause.

The four-game homestand will include ceremonial first pitches honoring breast cancer survivors, various organizations providing information to fans and a Mammogram Van provided by Lovelace Health Systems on site for Saturday and Sunday's games. Walk-ups are welcome for the Mobile Mammogram Unit, which will be outside of Isotopes Park starting at 8:00 a.m. until the end of each game on those two days. There will also be a silent auction during the games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and a live auction following Sunday's game. Among the auctioned items are:

• game-worn Isotopes pink jerseys

• a game-worn jersey and a pink baseball bat autographed by Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp

• game-used, team-autographed pink ribbon field bases
