The Isotopes (57-56) were held to four hits Saturday night and starting pitcher Ryan Carpenter was unable to make it out of the third inning as the Round Rock Express (52-61) defeated Albuquerque, 7-3, at Dell Diamond.

Carpenter surrendered six runs, seven hits and three walks in 2.2 innings. The six runs ended the lefty's streak of 10 consecutive outings allowing three runs or less that began on June 8. The loss dropped Carpenter's season record to 7-8.
Sam Moll yielded one run in his two innings of relief while right-hander Nelson Gonzalez tossed 3.1 scoreless frames to end the game.
Albuquerque's only scoring Friday night came on home runs from Noel Cuevas and Mike Tauchman. Cuevas belted his 15th long ball of the season in the fifth inning followed by a two-run shot from Tauchman in the sixth. Tauchman now has 16 home runs this season after entering the 2017 campaign with only eight in the first four years of his professional career.
The Isotopes wrap up their four-game series in Round Rock Sunday evening. Zach Jemiola (4-3, 6.88) will get the start for Albuquerque while the Express will turn to fellow right-hander David Ledbetter (2-2, 4.15). The series finale from Dell Diamond is scheduled to begin at 5:05 p.m.
