The Isotopes were held scoreless for the first seven innings Thursday night before plating two runs in the eight      h, but that would be the only scoring they produced as the Redbirds took the series finale 4-2 at AutoZone Park. Albuquerque and Memphis split the series 2-2 while the Isotopes finished their eight game road trip with a 4-4 record.

The Redbirds went ahead early in the contest scoring two runs in the first and another in the second, but Isotopes starter Ryan Carpenter settled down the rest of the way with four straight shutout frames. Carpenter compiled six strikeouts and did not issue a walk in six innings on the mound as he earned his fourth quality start of the season.
Cristhian Adames drove in Albuquerque's first run of the night, lining an RBI single to right in the top of the eighth. Mike Tauchman followed Adames with a sacrifice fly to left, cutting Memphis' lead to 3-2. The Redbirds responded in the bottom half of inning with a run and retired the Isotopes in order in the ninth to close out the win.
The Isotopes will be back home Friday to begin an eight game homestand, starting with a four game set against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple-A Brewers). Right-hander Barry Enright (1-0, 0.00) will take the hill for Albuquerque while lefty Josh Hader (3-2, 4.30) is scheduled to start for Colorado Springs. First pitch from Isotopes Park is slated for 7:05 p.m.
