JACKSON, Tenn - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, fell just shy of their 13th shutout, posting a 2-1 victory over the Chattanooga Lookouts on Sunday at The Ballpark at Jackson.

The 75th win of the season for Jackson (75-63) gives them their fifth straight series victory, with two of those series won against Chattanooga (64-72).
Right-hander Justin Donatella (7-8, 3.46 ERA) put up his third consecutive quality start by firing six shutout innings against Chattanooga. He struck out five, walked two, and gave up four hits on 92 pitches, inducing eight groundouts with three flyouts as well. The 23-year-old stranded runners in each of the first four innings, and a double play helped him complete the fifth frame after just three batters faced. He retired the final five hitters he faced, setting his ERA at 0.46 over his last 3 starts (19.2 IP, 1 ER).
In relief, Jared Miller pitched for the second day in a row, recording three outs on just eight pitches. Miguel Aguilar picked up his fourth hold of the year with a scoreless eighth inning, and Bud Jeter (S, 2) collected his second save by working the ninth inning. Though Jeter allowed an earned run, he finished the inning in short order, using only 17 pitches to preserve the victory.
Offensively, Rudy Flores impressed by with his first three-hit game since June 7. Two of Flores' hits came against Chattanooga southpaw Anthony Marzi (0-8, 5.49 ERA), who surrendered just one run in 4 2/3 innings. Josh Prince and Flores hit back to back doubles in the fourth to make the only dent in Marzi's armor, giving the Generals a 1-0 lead at the time. Jackson got their insurance run from another Prince contribution, an eighth-inning sacrifice fly that scored Kevin Medrano. Prince completed the weekend having driven in four of the Generals eight runs over the course of two days. Medrano finished with two hits Sunday.
